Similarly, from conception to construction, time is also a concept that is integral to the art of fashion design; be it making patterns, cutting fabric, constructing garments and fitting the final pieces; and the Gateway Fashion Preview and Concert was an exciting expression of Durban’s eclectic fashion footprint.

On the 19th June thirty young semi finalist designers showcased their collections at the Vodacom Durban July young designers competition presented by the Durban Fashion Fair, whereby just ten were selected to go forward to the finals later this week. The winner of the VDJ Young Designer competition will be announced on Saturday, July 7. Family & friends lending their support had a great time.
