Glamourous Year end ball for Varsity students

Glamourous Year end ball for Varsity students

The IIE’s Varsity College Durban North and Westville campuses recently hosted a glamourous ‘Night at the Oscars Ball’ at the Southern Sun Elangeni Hotel, their vibrant social calendar’s grand finale for 2018.

The IIE’s Varsity College believes that social life is part of a balanced student experience and this End of Year event is a highlight on its social calendar. Social interaction is about more than just having fun as it provides the opportunity to learn a whole range of skills essential for life in the working world.

PR and Events Coordinators Nandi Mzobe and Yolisa Ndlovu, at The IIE’s Varsity College Durban North and Westville campuses respectively, made this event happen with the hard work of their Social Committees on campus, the teams responsible for the campus social life.

Said Nandi Mzobe”, “This is one of our most popular events in the social calendar for both campuses and each year it is well attended. Some of our students never attended their matric dance and this is a nice way for them to make up for it, they get to dress up and have great time.”

The IIE’s Varsity College will be hosting its Orientation Week in early 2019 – the first social event of each year and is targeted at first year students.

Varsity College is an educational brand of The Independent Institute of Education (IIE) (Pty) Ltd, which is registered with the Department of Education and Training as a private further and higher education and training institution under the Further Education and Training Colleges Act, 2006 (reg. no. 2009/FE07/003, prov. to 31/12/2014) and the Higher Education Act, 1997 (reg. no. 2007/HE07/002A). The IIE is a wholly owned subsidiary of ADvTECH (PTY) limited.
