The Santa Run is Back!

The Santa Run is Back!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year; and what better way to enjoy it than with family and friends at this year’s Santa Run powered by The Hub. KZN’s very own Christmas themed 5km family run is a fun-filled experience that takes participants in, through, up, down, out and around the beloved Jonsson Kings Park precinct. And we have some tickets to giveaway!

The exciting new route is 5km in length with many exciting experiences along the way. Pass through an easy maze, have a jump on a giant inflatable rocket, give Sharkie a high five, trot along with one of your favourite cartoon characters, take a picture with some of the Sharks team players, experience snow in summer, stop for some refreshments along the way… all the while passing through the historic back avenues and areas of Durban’s world famous stadium.

It’s not every day you get to glimpse inside the Shark’s Change Room, and then run through the tunnel onto the field like a real super sporting hero,” says Greg Le Roux, Group Executive of Events, as he details a key section of the 2018 Santa Run route. “The Santa Run really is a great opportunity to do something different and fun and it offers something special for everyone. Bring your pram, run a little, walk a lot, whatever you choose, come and enjoy the experience with the whole family.

Exactly one calendar month before Christmas, the Santa Run takes place on Sunday the 25th of November at the Jonsson Kings Park Stadium in Durban. It is open to people of all ages and fitness levels, and is by no means a competitive race. So trade in your racing shoes for your Santa Hat – which you’ll receive in your race pack, along with a R50 voucher to use online when you purchase something from www.thekidzone.co.za. Tickets for The Santa Run are available via webtickets.co.za starting from R80.

Something new on your burger bun

Most of us love the idea of a burger, no matter what our food preference is, and burgers are certainly not for meat eaters alone. For those who are health conscious or don’t eat meat, why not add this Pouyoukas recipe of spicy lentil burgers to your burger night as an extra option.
