Maris Stella celebrates Sunflower Fund Day

Maris Stella’s Sunflower Fund Day celebrations are always one of the highlights of their school calendar, and this year’s event was no different.

This is the 10th year they’ve had the honour of supporting The Sunflower Fund, and this year’s theme, “Be Your Own Hero”, was so creatively interpreted by their girls who made their own outfits from the topes.   Judges of the school’s Sunflower Fund Fashion Show included Maris Stella Old Girl, Georgina Brink, winner of this year’s Vodacom Durban July’s Young Designer Award, and Tanith King from the Sunflower Fund.  By purchasing over 850 topes,  Maris Stella embraced The Sunflower Fund’s Challenge to “Be The Hope”, and help make a difference to the fight against leukaemia.

For more information on becoming a blood stem cell donor, please contact The Sunflower Fund’s toll free number on 0800 12 10 82 or visit their website www.sunflowerfund.org.za
