Richelieu B (JHB)

Originally from KZN, this Comics’ Choice Award-nominated comedian is well-known for his various television appearances (‘LOL Show’ on Mzanzi Magic, ‘Live at Parkers’) as well as his highly acclaimed One-Man Comedy Show – ‘From Where I Stand’.

2016 saw him tearing up the national comedy scene performing massive, sold-out theatre shows alongside comedy ‘giants’ – the Goliaths – and last year he was crowned the grand winner of the prestigious Comedy Central Roast Battle (Channel 122, DSTV).

He is arguably one of South Africa’s hottest comedy stars, with MC and hosting skills second to none!

Definitely not to be missed!

Eugene Khoza (JHB)

Eugene Khoza is a South African comedian and television presenter best known for co-hosting (with Fezile Makhanya and Lebo Motsoeli) the SABC1 sports magazine show Countdown 2010, from 2008-2010.

Born and bred in Pretoria, Eugene has advanced in the world of local comedy and can now be found performing all over the country.
Since his debut on M-Net’s Laugh out Loud comedy competition, Khoza has risen up the comedy ranks earning praise from critics and fans alike.

His style appeals to a wide audience due to his multi-lingual delivery and sharp wit that touches, prods and pokes fun at South Africa’s many cultures.

 Prins (JHB)

Personally selected by Trevor Noah to perform on his brand new TV series (‘Nation Wild’, MNET) – Prins is undoubtedly one of the hottest up and coming comedians in South Africa.

Not only is he a multiple award-winning comic (‘Intermediate Comic of the Year’ and ‘Breakthrough Comic of the Year’: Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards, 2016), he has also excelled internationally, having been invited to the Montreux Comedy Festival in Switzerland and Busan Comedy Festival in South Korea.

His solo show (“Unnecessary”) debuted at the Guild Theatre in East London, was an instant hit, and is currently touring the country.

Jem Atkins (DBN)

Arguably one of the funniest entertainers we know…this Durban local has been hosting and headlining shows for several years now!

His hit one-man shows – “Single Dad” & “Single Dad II”- received rave reviews in 2014/2015, and he has since performed all over the country with some of the biggest names in the industry.

This guy is very entertaining!

Annalakshmi (DBN)

Both talented and beautiful, and with the voice of an angel, Annalakshmi’s unique musical-comedy performance is guaranteed to both mesmerize you and have you rolling with laughter in your seat!

She loves telling stories and giving her candid commentary, with parodies that are witty, funny and really hit home.

She recently made Durban proud by reaching the semi-finals on SABC3’s hit show – SA’s Got Talent!

Look out for her – she’s going to be HUUUUGE!
Mohammad Vawda (DBN)

He’s only been on the Durban comedy scene for a few years, but already this proudly Muslim comedian is showing he has what it takes!
With a confident stage presence and 100% clean, well thought-out gags, he is charming and undeniably funny!

His beat-boxing skills, spot-on accents and hilarious stories have made him popular across all ages and demographics as he amasses a huge following in Durban.

He has toured the country and performed with the biggest names in the industry.
Look out: he could be the next big thing!

Liam Johns

Since 2011, Johns has been performing throughout Durban with some of the biggest acts around and is fast becoming one of our favourite comedians!

His stage presence is calm and unassuming, while his comedy is smart and well thought out. He’ll make you think and he’ll make you laugh. Hard.

Andrew Hughes

Nominated last year in the ‘Newcomer Category’ of the Savanna Comics’ Choice Awards, this talented comedian has gone from strength to strength.

He has toured with Carvin Goldstone and performed with the best in the business, cementing his position as one of Durban’s accomplished comedians.

In 2018 he performed his debut solo show (‘In Living Coloured’) to rave reviews.

Proudly brought to you by Savanna Cider, East Coast Radio, Gateway Hotel and On Fire Entertainment!
