A darling blend

Talk about basic, fundamental goodness in a bottle… Groote Post, the beautiful historic Darling Hills wine farm, has released a Shiraz/Cinsault blend aptly called Salt of the Earth, and we just love it!  This full-flavoured blend of 66% Shiraz and 34% Cinsault abounds with cedarwood, plum, white pepper and violet notes… typical of Shiraz from Darling, integrated with fresh cherry and strawberry flavours from the Cinsault. Well-structured and smooth with a touch of spice, a subtle earthy mineral undertone and great length, Groote Post Salt of the Earth 2015 retails for R240 a bottle.

Conventional seating

How fab are these Stone Sofas? Designed by Stefano Giovannoni for the Spanish label, Vondom, the original idea behind these pieces was to create a garden collection that harmoniously adapts to nature, and we have to say, they do just that! Made of weather-proof polypropylene, the stone sofa, alongside other complimentary pieces like the armchair, side table and stone planters can fit perfectly into any environment. It’s the perfect design for a comfortable seat. Priced from around R23, 934 and available in a variety of colours and different sizes, the Stone series can be found online at Core Furniture Concepts who deliver nationally from their warehouses in Cape Town and Johannesburg. Rust, the rage

Word on the street is that the colour rust is all the rage. A neutral shade that adds warmth to a more minimalist interior, when used to its full advantage it can be totally earthy and retro. Take for example these rust handles we recently spotted at Handles Inc. Whether you choose to use them on cabinets in the bedroom, living area or kitchen, they go well together with natural hues, sands, greens and pinks because the rust-finish complements vintage and modern décor, adding more character to a room. Priced from R28 upwards, you can find a branch closest to you at www.handlesinc.co.za or call 021 422 2322.
