Top tips to get your home ready for spring

Top tips to get your home ready for spring

With the winter solstice behind us, thoughts turn to sprucing our homes up for spring. Leading blogger and interior designer from The Home Studio, Karen Steyn, regularly collaborates with Bathroom Butler to help people – with all kinds of budgets – revolutionise their homes. Here she shares some great tips on how to make small changes to your bathroom vanity now that there’s no need to hibernate there anymore.

Spring Cleaning

Nothing says Hello Spring like a good spring clean. Simply making small changes within your bathroom vanity, and bringing in new accessories such as a much needed hand towel ring or robe hook can make your home and bathroom feel like new for the season ahead.

Bring in colour

Adding colour to the rest of your home seems like an obvious thing to do in spring, and it should apply to the bathroom too. Instead of painting a wall, why not bring in colour by bringing in coloured bathroom accessories?

Freshen up

De-clutter that big pile of towels and bring in a towel shelf and hang bar. This gives you more space to store your selection of fluffy towels for the season ahead.

Speaking of

New towels are a perfectly acceptable indulgent luxury at the start of a new season. We love a dark grey towel paired with a single towel rail in the classic polished stainless steel finish.

Off with the robe

It’s time to pack away that heavy winter bath robe. A single robe hook in rose gold is the perfect complement to a new silky pink spring robe.

Scents

Switch up your body wash for a lighter, spring fragrance. Something that reminds you of your favourite flowers.

Bring the outside in

Nothing says Spring like fresh blooms! Dress up your flowers in a beautiful vase that complements your favourite colour bathroom accessories.

Have fun

With all your spring entertaining, dazzle your guests with pretty hand towel perfectly presented on a brushed bronze hand towel ring.

Don’t leave anyone short

A double paper holder means you can focus on what’s happening outside.

Pamper you

At the end of a busy weekend, a refreshing shower accompanied by a soft towel dried to perfection on heated towel rail is what spring is all about.
