This event is to celebrate the life of a fallen friend, brother and son, Andy Carrie who was a great
influence in his community and always lived life to the fullest. He was an avid photographer,
blogger, traveler, pro skateboarder and flow boarder who always had a smile on his face. Andy was
tragically killed by a drunken driver at the young age of 28 in December of 2016 and he is still
making an impact on people’s lives today.
As Andy loved kids, his family thought it would be fitting to donate all the event proceeds to
iThemba Lethu house. iThemba Lethu is a local Durban based NGO, committed to caring for
vulnerable babies and children, developing youth and restoring families to regain a meaningful
destiny by recognising the value of their lives. To learn more about this awesome NGO go to their
website www.ithembalethu.org.za
Mallaz Customs, a local customisation shop in Durban will be doing a complete nut & bolt
restoration of Andy’s bike and raffling it off at the event thanks to the awesome support and
contributions from some big local brands including, Midas, Startline Powersport, PAZ, TWR, The
Biker Store, Saviour Brand Co, Rocomamas and Honda Umhlanga.
“We will be going all out on this bike build and event to bring people together to
#LiveLikeAndy, with awesome music from some of Durban’s best artists. This is a family
friendly event so bring everyone for a day of celebrating and loving life, all for a good cause
and the chance to win your very own Cafe Racer,” says Gary Bezuidenhout owner of Mallaz

Glad to go camping

How are you enjoying your Cadbury Breakaway?

Chocolate wrapped and filled wafer. On a chilly winter night, there’s really not much more we want than this, a mug of coffee and a good book.

Buon appetito!

With nothing but a suitcase full of dreams and her faithful friend ‘the cello’, Cecilia Di Cecco left Italy to work as a musician with the KZNPO in Durban. Here she learnt to cultivate her music and at the same time began a love affair with food that eventually led to the recent launch of her first cookbook, Cucina in South Africa.
