Design Studio (by Union Tiles)

Design Studio (by Union Tiles)

Hillcrest’s home for all aspects of décor and design.

Imagine a living showcase where the inspiration of design meets the real life application of ideas. Union Tile’s newest showcase, Design Studio in Hillcrest is just that and more.

Following the success of the Union Tiles huge show room in Ballito, the company, one of the largest importers and suppliers of tiles, quartz slabs and Terrazzo tiles, has opened a studio in Hillcrest to serve the needs of designers, contractors, project managers and Upper Highway locals. The new Design Studio will build on a proud history developed over a period of 95 years in providing customers with only the best in tiling and décor.

Design Studio, is an idea materialising from the passion and vision shared by Union Tiles management. It is an ideal space to house quality tiles, mosaics, sanware, lighting, painting, wall papers, fabrics and furniture supplied by a few selected service providers.

“There was a need for something in the Upper Highway area,” explained George Harding,  MD of Union Tiles Ballito who, along with a range of display partners, put together the concept store where items from tiling, fabric, fixtures, sanware and lighting are on display side by side in a way that allows creativity to flow.

Design Studio was brought to life with a goal to create a functional space where architects and interior designers can meet with prospective clients. As well as being able to accommodate walk in clients and all home and business owners. We have a professional sales team who are able to assist with queries, ideas, the creation and development of your projects.

Store manager Sarah Brauns is able to draw from her multiple years of retail and customer service experience to ensure that everything needed to create an environment to display products to perfection, is available. Customers can enjoy the flexibility that allows them to experiment with different effects, lighting and products, till they have something that meets their design needs.

Architectural associations and firms too have expressed an interest in using the space in the future for launches and events as well as professional meetings, which will turn it into a veritable hub of inspiration for anyone connected to the building, décor and design industries.

While the store is sure to become a destination for professionals in the area and surrounds, the stock control and deliveries will still be run from the central depot to ensure that any size order can be filled in good time from the wide range of suppliers who display their products at the Design Studio.

With a specific interest in natural stone, glass and porcelain products, Design Studio displays a wide range of various shades and textures assuring you a positive experience and a guarantee to find a product to style your home the way you visualise it in your mind’s eye.

So, when you’re next in the area, pop in at the Design Studio and see for yourself what can be done with the wide range of tiles, floor, lighting, sanware and fabric options to suit your individual style.

Follow them on Facebook and check out the website to see what exciting events are being planned.
