Bold new trends to obsess over
“There’s a play on bright bold pinks and purples with a classic romantic theme and hints of shimmer that bring a touch of glamour. Don’t be afraid to mix and match your bridesmaids, bringing your theme further to life. We paired big floral prints with bold colours in varying styles and the result was magic. In doing so, you can highlight your bridesmaids’ best features and create a more interesting aesthetic. Be mindful of how these live together and ensure the look is cohesive.”
“For the Boho look, we went with sunset shades and brassy tones to give it a vintage slant, complimenting this look with lace table cloths, vintage patterned plates and gold rimmed glasses. The bride’s dress was a simple cut with a gorgeous back detail and vintage style lace. Moving away from the flower crown we opted for a big rose in her hair. The groom wore a fine check burgundy suit with a matching waistcoat.
“Modern doesn’t have to mean plain and simple. Select areas to bring in special details. The colours we used were dusky pinks with bold plums. Hints of gold metallic were introduced via the stationery. Add to this a sleek bridal gown with a subtle lace detail and a groom in a check blazer with white trousers and you’ve created something modern with a pop of fun here and there.”
Trends for 2018
Use of colour
Don’t be afraid to play with an array of colour. Use accent colours as a highlight and shades of colours to bring in depth. Try to make this consistent throughout your wedding with flowers, decor, stationery and apparel. Just make sure these elements all live together.
Wear a single flower in your hair as a striking detail.
Mix and Match
Don’t be afraid to play. Decide what your colour theme is and work within this palette. Use prints with solid colours. Opt for different styles to best suit your bridesmaids. Have some fun with the grooms(men) suits and add in some prints like checks, you can also pair this down with a solid colour trouser.
