aQuellé Richmond Mudman
What is Mudman?
Mudman is an off-road, multisport event consisting of running, swimming (or canoeing) and cycling. There is also a fun Spur Mudskipper Adventure designed especially for younger children to participate in. Every child ‘wins’ in this event. At the aQuellé Richmond Mudman, the Richmond Community and aQuellé work side by side to create an event, in which we achieve a unique mixture of fun, community building and successful fundraising. The organisers have ensured that there will be very clear track markings, adequate marshaling, top notch first aid, security, safety and assistance along the route to all participants and at the venue. The other hosting schools in the series are Hermannsburg, Epworth and Cordwalles.
The Full Distance comprises of a 700m swim or 2.5km paddle, 20km mtb ride and a 5km trail run through some of the most beautiful countryside imaginable. While the top of the field can enjoy the challenges of the course, the novices can look forward to a great day in the country and choose to participate in the Half Distance event if they wish to, consisting of a 350m swim or 1.25km paddle, 10km mtb and 2,5km trail run. The Mudman can also be done as a team or as an individual event. There is even a Mudskippers event for the little ones. T/shirts to the first 650 entries through registration only. A tasty and thirst quenching aQuellé water and a medal to all finishers.
Registration begins at 6:30am – entries can be done through www.roag.co.za
