Let the Christmas Cooking Elf into your home and skip the stress of festive meal prep by ordering a beautiful meal from Fudart’s Christmas Take Me Home Menu.

This is a menu prepared with comfort and convenience in mind. No peeling, no chopping, just great food without the fuss! Meats are available ‘cooked and ready to heat’ or  beautifully prepared for you to pop into the oven on the day. Which means that instead of spending all your time in the kitchen making food, you can focus on making memories.

All starters, sides and sauces are fully prepared for you to heat and present to your family and friends. For additional convenience you are welcome to order meat that can be ready to cook or cooked in advance. Delicious mains have been marinated or dressed, and ready for the oven on Christmas morning, letting delicious aromas unfurl through your home as your festive feast warms up, impressing your guests with your culinary prowess without having to break a sweat!

All meals will come with cooking or presentation guidelines.Here’s what you need to do:

To Start

Build your own harvest table or starter platter

Taste of durban
Breast of chicken skewered and chargrilled dressed in durban influenced tikka spices, roasted garlic, lemon and thyme

Wilted spinach and feta
Mini spanakopita, phyllo parcels of wilted spinach and feta brushed in a lemon olive oil and sesame seeds

Mediterranean mix
Kalamata olives and danish feta marinated in garlic and garden herbs

Moroccan beef
Beef lollypops scented with cumin and paprika, dressed in a sweet chilli coriander glaze

Greek dips
(Both flavours below have been carefully  prepared to pair perfectly with all above starters)
Hummus, a chickpea and tahini dip
Skordalia, a roasted garlic and potato crème

The Middle

Turkey
Whole turkey brined in scents of juniper berry,
citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg and thyme

Beef
Fillet of beef encrusted with peppercorns, wholegrain mustard, honey and rosemary

Chicken
Whole chicken brined in scents of juniper berry, citrus, cinnamon, nutmeg and thyme

Chicken, cranberry and
Cashew nut stuffing
Minced chicken meat seasoned with cranberries, rosemary, toasted cashews and garlic, rolled and baked for you to serve sliced next to the turkey

Lamb curry
Durban influenced lamb curry simmered in roasted tomatoes, garlic and coriander.
Presented with rotis, sambals and pickles

Roasted butternut, caramelized onion and feta tart
Roasted butternut, caramelized onion,
spinach and feta tart baked with eggs, cream and fresh herbs

 

The sides

Seasonal vegetable and danish feta cous cous
Minted cous cous salad tossed with roasted vegetables, raisins, fresh coriander and
Danish feta

Creamy potatoes
Potato salad tossed in a creamy mayonnaise, mustard and spring onion

Potato, leek and parmesan gratin
Potatoes and leeks baked with parsley, cream and garlic, topped with parmesan and mozzarella

Seasonal vegetables
Roasted selection of locally sourced vegetables
scented with a herbed pesto

Garden salad
Fresh seasonal greens with hidden treasures an
accompanied by a balsamic caramel

The Sauces

Cranberry scented Jus
Also known as a light textured gravy

Balsamic Onion Marmalade
(great with the Roasts on the day or with the leftover roasts for sandwiches the
following day)

Pineapple and Jalapeño Jam
(great with the Roasts on the day or with the leftover roasts for sandwiches the
following day)

Sweet Treats

Mince Pies
Citrus scented fruit mince and nut tartlets in sugar dust

Individual Trifles
Vanilla bean scented cream layered with citrus madeira cake and luxury
Handcrafted custard and topped with a spicy apple, date and ginger compote

TO ORDER

All orders to be placed via the specific order form.
Last date to place orders and provide proof of payment to hello@fudart.co.za is 10 December 2017. Full prepayment secures your order and Fudart services.

An email confirmation will be sent out to confirm your order once proof of payment is received.

All Christmas take away orders need to be picked up between 10am to 11am from Durban North. No alternate times or pick up area is available. No deliveries for this menu are available on the day.

Cancellations of orders will be accepted no later than 14:00 pm by 11 December 2017. Any cancelations thereafter for any such reason will result in a 50% penalty fee.
