I Heart Market Goes North!

This November, Durban’s iconic I heart Market is expanding to the Northern Suburbs . Taking place on the last Saturday of the month, I heart Market North is nestled in a natural amphitheatre of Blythedale Event Bowl with a view of indigenous foliage and the Indian Ocean.

I heart Market is a community of creators and supporters that strives to nurture Durban’s brilliant local
creatives and small businesses and provide them with a platform to showcase and sell their wares. One of
Durban’s longest standing markets, I Heart Market has been crucial to the growth of small businesses,
artisans and crafters. It is this spirit which they plan to extend to our beautiful Northern Suburbs.
But, whilst remaining true to to the spirit in which I heart Market was first conceived, I heart Market North is
a different experience to their ‘mothership’ market at Moses Mabhida Stadium as each vendor has been
hand picked to suit this particular, one-of-a-kind venue.
At I heart Market North you will find a wide range of different locally designed products which have been
carefully selected for their quality, originality and design appeal. Expect fashion, jewellery, home décor,
kiddies wear, plants, natural skin care, deli goods, accessories, vintage collectibles, art, ceramics and
delicious foods.
The market has an onsite coffee shop and lawns to hang out on, the blue flag beach of Blythedale is just
40m away, as well as mountain bike and trail running trails in the coastal bush. So bring a blanket to sit on
and your dogs, and come spend the day browsing, eating, drinking and enjoying.
“We are so excited to be launching I heart Market North. I Heart Market prides itself on being a one of a
kind celebration of culture, creativity and community, and what a perfect place to do it! With the view of the
Indian Ocean, trail running trails and a blue flag beach just 40m away, it’s an ideal day out for the entire
family “ – says market founder Anna Savage.
I Heart Market North takes place on the last Saturday of each month – the festive season dates being:
Sat 25 November | 9am – 3pm (Launch Market)
Sat 30 December | 9am – 3pm
