Thule opens the first new-look store based on global concept & design in KZN

SA Sport & Cargo – the SA distributors of Thule, the Swedish brand renowned for its innovation, simplicity and functionality over the last four decades, has just opened another store in South Africa, this time in the beautiful New Cornubia Shopping Mall, directly connected to the New Umhlanga Town Centre. Based on the latest Thule concept store in Malmo, Sweden, the new-look store, which is a first of its kind in South Africa, boasts clean lines and modern shop fittings, but most importantly a spacious shopper friendly layout.

Thule has always been focused on transporting the things that people care about the most with efficiency, safety and of course doing it in style – and the new store has everything that you have come to love about the Swedish brand. Traditionally, Thule products have been ‘destination’ oriented, focusing on vehicle accessories such as roof racks, and carriers for road sports (bicycles) and water sports (kayaks and canoes).

As the brand has evolved, this has expanded to backpacks for laptops, travel duffel bags and hiking packs. The new Active with Kids range has a different emphasis: everything from sports strollers to child bike seats, child carrier backpacks and more, so that parents can bring their kids along, as they explore the great outdoors.

With its focus on lifestyle, family and community, Cornubia Mall is the perfect fit for the Thule brand, which helps to promote active lifestyles. In addition, the new store also has its very own coffee shop – serving locally renowned, Noble Coffee – where customers can savour a cup of speciality coffee, prepared by an expert barista. After you have browsed and bought, take some time out to enjoy the sweet and savoury offerings, while you have your roof racks fitted, right there and then.
