A mower with IQ

A mower with IQ

Husqvarna – the world leader in robotic mowing since 1995 – has launched a new line of robotic lawn mowers, now offering professional users as well as homeowners the ultimate in cordless mowing convenience.

Adrian Beaumont, Country Manager at Husqvarna South Africa explains, “At Husqvarna, we have been developing robotic lawn mowers for over 20 years. This wealth of experience, combined with our innovative engineering techniques means that no matter what mowing challenges you face, Husqvarna Automower® will help you achieve the perfect result.”

How it works

Boundary and guide wires are laid to define the area within which you want your Automower® to work. The mower is equipped with razor-sharp blades that cut each blade of glass, resulting in a lush, green lawn that cannot be achieved by conventional mowing.  When it’s time to recharge, your Automower® simply finds its way back to its docking station and charges itself until it’s ready to start mowing again. With a robotic mower, the hard work of mowing the lawn is done entirely by the unit – without human intervention and around the clock.

A mower for any size lawn

Husqvarna Automower® 105 model is the solution for small lawns up to 600m2 while model 315 takes care of grassy areas up to 1 500 m2.  Automower® 430X, equipped with GPS navigation and slope handling of up to 45% is suitable for lawns up to 3 200m2.  Husqvarna recently unveiled its most advanced and robust robotic mower to date, the Husqvarna® 450X.  With a mowing capacity of up to 5 000m2, roughly the size of a standard soccer field and the ability to handle slopes of up to 45%, the Husqvarna® 450X further cements the brand’s position as the world leader in robotic mowing.  It also means that Automower® has become an alternative, not only to walk-behind mowers, but also to ride-on mowers!

Perfect results for even the most complicated lawns

Bad weather, rough terrain, steep slopes and narrow passages are no match for the Husqvarna Automower®.  And when it meets an obstacle, it simply stops and redirects itself.

Excellent cutting results

Thanks to the free movement pattern of the Automower® the lawn is perfectly cut, achieving a beautiful, carpet-like finish.  Razor-sharp blades made of strong carbon steel mounted on a robust cutting disc system, cut the grass gently from all directions, helping it to grow strong and healthy. Fine grass clippings are returned to the ground thus enriching the soil.

Low noise

Thanks to its unique battery-operated cutting system, Automower® works discreetly and quietly with no interruption to your outdoor activities.

“But don’t just take our word for it,” says Beaumont.  “Contact your nearest dealer to arrange a demonstration and see first-hand why robotic mowers are the way of the future.”
