‘The World According to Heavenly Creatures’ – Spring/Summer 2017 Men and Women Collections

For Spring-Summer 2017 we immerse ourselves in beautiful natural habitats – from high and dry desert to lush, flora- filled rainforest.
We see these natural terrains through the eyes of the habitats’ creatures – creating crazy wild
proportions: Botanical patterns and animal prints transform into micro and exploded versions. The metallic beauty of beetles inspiring a shimmering layer you can’t miss.

We also draw on our favourite artists’ impressions of this natural beauty. Like Henri Rousseau, whopainted the exotic of the jungle without ever having seen it. We adopt his naïve, two-dimensional, flora- ooded lens.
We begin Spring in a world of greens and sun-cast-on-rain metallics. Treks into high summer habitats immerse our collection in more colour – from dirt-washed pastels to vivid toxic-warning brights.
This season Scotch & Soda also introduce a beach capsule: Five white pieces edged with sweet geo embroideries and French taping for swift summer time-outs.

About us
Scotch & Soda are inspired by the world and curated by Amsterdam. A team of passionate discoverers and collectors, scouring the globe for that painting, poem, vintage piece, ruin, or artefact that sparks our never-ending curiosity.
Treasures uncovered on worldly wanders are poured into collections and signature looks that clash eras, classics, places of inspiration, meshing unexpected fabrics and patterns. Men’s, women’s and children’s all start life at our canal-side design studio in a former church in the heart of Amsterdam.

You can find a Scotch & Soda store in Victoria Wharf Shopping Centre in Cape Town and in Sandton City Shopping Centre and Hyde Park Corner in Johannesburg.
