Hollywoodbets’ Pre-Party to the Vodacom Durban July

Yet again South Africa’s largest bookmaker hosted a magical pre-party to the Vodacom Durban July on Thursday, 29 June 2017.

Over 1000 eager punters got together at Hollywoodbets’ Park outlet for the company’s annual pre-party to the big race day. In keeping with this year’s theme betting enthusiasts were transformed to a magical land where anything was possible!

As usual an expert panel including well-known trainers Garth Puller and Alyson Wright as well as jockey and trainer Gavin Lerena gave their top picks for this year’s main race. Other racing personalities also discussed their July runners. The highlight of the evening was a card call where professional auctioneer Brian Makwabarara negotiated some incredible odds for each of the horses running in Race 7.

Guests at the party were also given the chance to pose questions to this year’s panel that were answered live on the night. Guests didn’t go away empty-handed, with six customers going home with fantastic Hollywoodbets hampers. One punter even won a luxury cruise for two to the Portuguese Islands! Racing fans left the party ready to place their best bets on July day!

Buon appetito!

With nothing but a suitcase full of dreams and her faithful friend ‘the cello’, Cecilia Di Cecco left Italy to work as a musician with the KZNPO in Durban.
