DJ Zeal grows radio presence in her hometown!

Having come back home after a decade in the City of Gold and honing her skills at Metro FM; DJ Zeal is making waves on radio.

Dj Zeal real name Zandile Dladla; is the first female breakfast show co-host on VUMA FM 103 which boosts over 200 000 listenership.

The bubbly and University of the Witwatersrand BA Honours graduate said it’s good to be home and doing what she loves.

“I left my home and went to seek education in Johannesburg. It was a fruitful stay and now I’m back home with all the experience and imparting my knowledge and expertise into my community,” she said.

She said radio is the number medium in terms of access especially in Africa where some people still have radio as their only form of media and accessing information.

“With the rise of online radio, the ever-changing phase of radio; regional and community radio stations are now playing in the big league with commercial radio stations. The time for change and making a positive impact is now and I’m glad I’m part of this generation,” she said.

She previously worked for Gagasi FM; East Coast Radio and dabbles as an MC and DJ.

“When I was in Johannesburg I started a movement to mentor and support upcoming female DJs because I realized that there wasn’t enough support for those starting out from their female predecessors. I hope to do the same thing here in Durban;” she said.

Catch DJ Zeal weekdays on Vuma FM 103 from 6am to 9am.

Bespoke baby gear, designed with the supermom in mind!

When it comes to baby brands, there are so many great companies out there producing some incredible stuff. 50 Shades of Pink

When it comes to wine, especially rosé, there are loads of guys who won’t touch it. Maybe it’s because they prefer a beer or a more refined spirit; maybe it’s because it comes in a stemmed glass, who knows?. What we can say though, based on the confessions of our local wine fundi, Jan-Nico Coetzee, is that even the tough guys have a palate for rose, and thanks to the bottled beauties listed below, we now know just why.
