Ernie Els Wine Pairing

It was time to tee off with the first Wine Pairing dinner of 2017 that took place last night (Wednesday 25 January) at the Big Easy Durban Winebar & Grill at Hilton Durban.

The Big Easy Chenin Blanc, Ernie Els Sauvignon Blanc and Big Easy Red Blend were just some of the wines selected to be paired with the delicious menu devised by Big Easy’s Head Chef Janine Fourie.

‘Local is lekker’-herb and lime-rubbed trout, a star anise and savannah jasper pork belly and biltong-spiced Springbok fillet were just some of the courses that shared the attention with their paired wines.

Andrew Harris from the Ernie Els Wine Estate guided and enlightened guests through the selected wines’ nuances and characteristics during the culinary journey.

It was certainly an evening of good company, gorgeous wines and delectable food creations.
