Meals created by a celeb chef. Sunrise yoga. Glorious gardens and fine wines and spa treatments. This isn’t your everyday weekend escape.

Imagine. Luxurious accommodation. Exceptional meals by a celeb chef. Fine, fine wine tastings. Throw in award winning, breathtakingly beautiful gardens. Spa treatments. A helicopter flip. This, obviously, is not your common-or-garden-variety weekend away. Brahman Hills in the Midlands is always a treat. But this promises to be something completely OTT indulgent. The Brahman Hills Experience is an exclusive weekend boasting an enchanting blend of experiences for guests seeking an extraordinary fusion of comfort, culinary excellence, artistic beauty, and thrilling adventures.

Guests will indulge in exceptional dinners prepared by celebrity chef Pete Goffe-Wood. Along with dinners, there’ll be wine tastings from some of South Africa’s finest wine estates ... think Mullineux, L’Ormarins, Haute Cabriere and Bruce Jack Wines.
You’ll also have the chance to explore the 26 distinct garden rooms on the property, as well as the unique art and sculptures in the guided garden and art walks by designer landscaper, Tim Steyn and art curator Tyron Selmon-Butler.
For relaxation, there will be a Saturday sunrise yoga session, and an indulgent 90-minute spa treatment at the Healing Earth Spa. And for thrills ... a 15-minute heli ride over the five-and-a-half hectare, award-winning gardens.

Rumour has it there’ll be a few national rugby icons on the weekend escape, so you’ll get to rub (very broad) shoulders with the sports stars … we’re talking Tendai Mtawarira (Beast), Stefan Terblanche, Duane Vermeulen, and Hanyani Shimange.

The Brahman Hills Experience has three packages – Platinum, Gold, and Silver – each tailored to cater to different preferences and budgets, all of which will include the accommodation, meals, non-alcoholic drinks, guided walks and yoga. Add ons (the heli flip and spa treatments) are available for the less expensive packages.

The bond between you and your pet is without a doubt deep and special. When the dreaded time comes and you have to say goodbye to your furry companion, the loss can feel overwhelming. But it’s important to know that there is no right or wrong way to mourn the loss of a pet, and it’s okay to take the time and space you need to process your emotions and find healing.

Here are some suggestions to help cope with pet bereavement:

ALLOW YOURSELF TO GRIEVE
Give yourself permission to feel the sadness, anger and any other emotions that come with the loss or your pet. Suppressing these emotions can make grieving more difficult in the long run.

CREATE A MEMORIAL
Many people find comfort in creating a memorial for their pet. This can involve planting a tree or flowers in their memory, creating a photo album, or simply keeping their collar or favourite toy in a special place.

GIVE YOURSELF TIME
Grieving takes time and it’s important to be patient with yourself. Healing from the loss of a pet is a process and it’s normal for the pain to ebb and flow.
Take care of yourself - It’s important to take care of your physical and emotional well-being during this difficult time. Make sure you’re eating well, getting enough sleep and engaging in activities that bring you comfort.

Tickets for our Mother’s Day Breakfast are selling out fast! Have you booked yours?

Held in partnership with Halfway Ford Waterfall, Kingsmead Shoes and Willow Way Manor our event takes place at Willow Way Manor on Friday, May 10 from 8.30am to 12.30pm.

A delicious breakfast will be served, you can browse our on-site market, find inspiration through our keynote speaker Burgette Yarlett, enjoy trend-setting fashion by Calypso, groove to live entertainment by Kith and Kin, and a hopefully get your hands on one of a host of incredible raffle and spot prizes.

Men and women are welcome.
