Love that leather look

Love that leather look

We asked founder of StyleScoop.co.za, the gorgeous Dimi Ingle to share some ways she would style this season’s hot item; leather pants. Her MM Couture by Miss Me Faux Leather pants are versatile and a great base for many fabulous outfits. Since the launch of StyleScoop in 2008, Dimi has been blogging about her obsession with clothes, shoes or makeup, her love for pretty decor and her discovery of fabulous spots to chill out and relax.

Outfit 1 – Weekend vibes

This outfit is a great casual or weekend look and can so easily go from day to night! To keep it casual, the sleeves are rolled up and the blue collar adds a little personality. “I love the texture and contrast of the leather and denim. This look is easy to pull together, since a denim shirt and tan heels should be wardrobe staples!” There are so many ways you can wear this look;  wear the denim shirt on its own as a lightweight jacket over a simple tank, or add a fitted biker jacket or structured blazer on top for a chilly evening.”

Outfit 2 – Lady about town

Leather can tend to look a little too rock-n’-roll. “I kept it trendy yet refined by adding a lightweight, almost-sheer shirt. To keep the look fashionable yet ladylike, I paired this outfit with my nude Christian Louboutin patent heels and this pretty, old-school-glam faux pearl collar.” To compliment the signature Louboutin red in her heels, Dimi added her Knomo Harley Mini pouch.

“I would wear this outfit to an event, where you want to look fashionable, but still maintain a certain level of professionalism. This look could also work as a more corporate look by adding a black structured blazer, swopping the nude heels for simple black heels and switching the collar for a dainty gold necklace instead.”

Outfit 3 – Sport luxe

Sporty fashion is a hot trend right now. “The key is to look sporty and edgy, not scruffy and blah!” Dimi chose pieces that are casual, but have elements like subtle sparkle, leather and quilted texture to make them look a little more Luxe. “I paired my faux leather pants with a crisp white shirt, a navy sparkle sweater and black sparkly sneakers. I love the mix of navy and black together – break the fashion rules and have fun!”

To keep it casual, Dimi opted for a quilted bag, which has a chain strap that’s long enough to wear as a cross body bag. Her Ray-Ban Cats 5000 sunnies added a little retro-sport-style and finished off this outfit nicely.

“This is a great look when you want to give the heels a rest, without compromising on style.”
